Scottish Highlander Archer XVIII C

Description
Highland Scottish Archer This is a most versatile figure. The Scot's Highlander eked out a living in a land difficult to farm. Living had to be supplemented by hunting. This did not change for a very very long period of time. And, as our Scotsman was too poor to 'follow fashion' his apparel did not change dramatically for a long period of time. While the bow was mostly for hunting, a group of Highlanders could be a formidable opponent when working with their native hills, streams and woods. A force of knights, men at arms or even early musketeers would soon discover that the nimble and accurate archers could melt away after delivering a deadly volley or two of arrows. Our bowman has his clan's tartan, simple shirt, homemade shoes and simple trousers. He has a targe shield, his bow and quiver and razor sharp dirk to protect himself. He would be at home in his Highlands from 1200 as easily as in the 1600's.
